H.I.K.E. route

The 'H.I.K.E (Help Is Kindly Encouraged) route' is the walk taken by an individual when needing to solve a problem. Having been stumped by how to escape from the impending doom of not solving the situation themselves assistance is sought from colleagues. A walk around to office looking for willing colleagues to help talk through and solve the problem.

Round Zero

Stating the bloody obvious, i.e. is a zero, round? Of course it is! I think we have had a 'round zero' moment. Teaching grandmother to suck eggs again. To be avoided at all costs as too many round zero moments leads to reduced team spirit.

Shooting party

The collection of individuals who take delight in pointing and clicking cameras at works social events in order to capture less flattering moments. They are the vocational equivalent of the paparazzi. Most prevalent during the Christmas festive period but can be rallied into action at other occasions. Far more dangerous in more recent years as the rise of social networking has provided a vehicle for unexpected delivery of unwanted / damaging imagery.
